block dock! comes from Adem KAYIRCI. It's very similar to Lunar Lockout from ThinkFun.  The object is to slide Your Men until they land on the target squares.
What's different:
1. When you slide one piece into another, the piece that gets bumped will then travel to a wall or another object, like in the game pool.
2. If a piece is already locked in a target square, it cannot get bumped out. But it can be moved out.
3. The Black dots are NOT wormholes. They are black holes.

There are 88 levels.  Normally, I would cruise through these rapidly. However, because of the chain reaction feature, I'm finding these to be quite challenging. Especially, when none of the targets are placed on the perimeter.

Multiple times I made a mistake, but there's no 'undo' button. My mistake! There is an undo button. But it only undoes 1 move only.

At the moment, level 49 is proving to be quite difficult.

WHAT IS TRANSISTOR ?

What is a transistor?
transistor is an electronic device found in every electronic circuits.this device has changed the world of technology.you'll find transistor in computers,TV,Radio, smartphone, kitchen appliances etc.every device work with the help of transistors.without transistors technology cannot be at this level which we see nowadays.

Transistors are very easy to use with any electronic circuit. we are discussing the working of transistors in very easy way,it is used for switching and amplification.

so to know how transistors work we have to understand the polarity.the word polarity in electronics means positive(+) and negative(-).you would have seen + and - signs on a battery.

It indicates how to install battery in a TV remote, alarm clock etc to match the polarity of the battery with the device.the same principle works for transistors as well, the transistor also have to be installed in the same polarity rule, the transistor comes in two polarity rule types,

NPN Transistor diagram

1.NPN type.(Negative Positive Negative).

PNP Transistor diagram

2.PNP type.(Positive Negative Positive).

The transistor works same as a valve which controls water, gas etc.
every controlling valve has an input side, an output side, and a lever which is opened and closed by turning the valve clockwise and anti clockwise which controls the flow of water.

In the same way the transistor also consist of three terminal
1.Emmiter(input).
2.Base(lever).
3.collector(output).

if the transistor is NPN type,
Emmiter will be Negative,
Base will be Positive,
Collector will be Negative.

so we'll understand it with the help of an eg
if we want to control a bulb with a switch the wiring diagram will look like this.

Here if we close(turn on) the switch the bulb glows and if we open the switch (turn off) the bulb will go off, here we are using our finger to control the switch but in transistor we have to control it with the help of electronic signal (voltage) either Negative or Positive.

so to turn on or off the bulb with the help of an transistor we have to wire the bulb in this configuration

here we have connected the negative end of the power supply with the emmiter of the transistor,
the collector of the transistor is connected to the negative end of the bulb,
the positive end of the bulb is connected with positive end of the power supply
and an input voltage is applied to the base to turn on the bulb,
here in transistor the base act like a gate when we open the gate the current from the emmiter flows out from the collector and the bulb glows.

You can also control the bulb with an electric signal, for example a function generator which will look like this.

so this is how the transistor works.
if you all find somthing wrong or not able to understand about transistor please comment

ELOH comes from Christian Baumgartner of Broken Rules.  It's a laser with mirrors puzzle app. We've seen this type of game numerous times. See list below.
 What's Particularly Good
1. The red and yellow reflectors change the color of the beam.
2. Sliders (images 1, 4 and 5)
3. Semi-reflectors (images 1 and 5). These are the vertical-line-mirrors. A yellow beam will pass straight through a yellow mirror, while a red beam will bounce off.
4. Toward the end, brown is the third color to solve.
5. Wormholes. We've seen this many times before. Not sure if they exist in another laser puzzle. However: sometimes the wormholes are on half of a cell while the other half is covered with a tile.  Tapping the tile: they switch places.
There's an interesting musical element to ELOH.  As the balls/beams bounce off, xylophone sounds plunk and pling.

There are supposedly 85 levels but I counted 84 and solved them all.
Christian: good game!

Somebody sent me an email about the fact that I only give credit to one person per game.  True. It's mostly because I'm a bit lazy.
Andrew Rohrmann did the sound & music.
Jan Hackl did the programming.
Art Direction Team: Daniela Leitner, Lip Comarella, Simon Griesser.

Note to other puzzle app developers: you can't do it all!  Get a team like this.

What is UPS ?

computer ups

What is UPS?
The word UPS stands for uninterruptible power supply. This is a device which supply power to other devices, whenever the mains power fails for example. You are working on a project on your PC and suddenly the main power supply fails and you did not get the time to save your work and you lost all your hard work due to power failure. here the UPS comes to life and supply the power to your PC and provide you the time to save your hard work and shut down your PC safely.

Computer ups

How it works ?
Basically there is a battery, battery charger, controller unit, surge protector, voltage regulator, transformer etc installed in an UPS.
The power travels from the mains to the ups, and from the ups to the device. So whenever the mains power fails the battery installed in the UPS comes to life and power the device connected to it and supply the power until the mains power is back. when the mains power again starts to supply the power the ups takes the power directly from the mains and supply the power to the device and the battery goes on charging mode.

Types of UPS.

Commonly there are three types of UPS available in the market.

1. Offline UPS.
2. Line Interactive UPS.
3. Online UPS.

The UPS has an input terminal and an output terminal the input terminal connects to the mains and the output terminal is connects to the device which we want to power.

So now we'll understand how the three different types of ups works.

offline ups
offline UPS diagram

Offline ups.
In an offline ups the power from the mains travel to the ups the ups supply the power directly to the output terminal as well as to the battery charger which starts to charge the battery, so whenever the power from the mains fails the ups switches to the battery and starts to supply the power to the output terminal and the connected device starts to get power from the battery instead of mains power. If the mains outlet starts to supply the power to the ups, the ups switches back to the mains power and starts to charge the battery again for future use.
It is called an offline ups because the battery stops to supply the power once the mains power is back and goes in offline mode (charging).

Line interactive UPS

Line interactive  UPS diagram

Line interactive UPS
The line interactive ups works same as an offline ups but a little differently. The line interactive ups interacts with the mains power and controls the output voltage.
Eg: If the mains power is supplying  220v AC and suddenly it drops to 110v AC, it will boost the voltage to 220v AC and if the mains voltage cross 220v AC limit then it brings the voltage again back to 220v AC. So basically it interacts with the mains input voltage before switching to battery as compared to Offline UPS.

Online UPS
Online UPS diagram

Online UPS.
The online ups is the most stable type of ups for sensitive devices because the online ups stays online. which means the battery is connected to the output terminal of the ups forever.
Eg: the power from the mains travels from the mains outlet to the ups battery charger the charger steps down the voltage from 220v AC to 12v Dc then the power is supplied to the battery and from the battery the 12v DC is step up to 220v AC and supplied to the  output terminal so whenever the power fails from the mains the power is supplied constantly to the output terminal without switching effect and no delay occurs because there is no switching. so it is used in very sensitive devices which turns off if a power failure occurs in a nano sec delay.

-look- comes from Adem KAYIRCI. It's a drafting puzzle. The object is to project the 3 dimensional object onto the 3 planar perspectives.
All of Adem's puzzles are 'minimalist' in that: nothing is ever explained. Just figure things out for yourself.
The 3D object can be rotated so this game gets to be fairly easy. I did the first 50 levels very fast. I've stopped at around 90.

This game has 105 levels, which is probably 30 too many.  Still it's fun and fast.

Guten Tag,

ColorFold comes from Martin Pluisch.  It's a Ribbon puzzle game. The object is to drag the ribbons across the board to cover squares of the same color.  Key: ribbons can be folded, but not over any of the target squares.
Colorbind (see link below) was the first game to utilize this concept. It's outstanding. Sadly, it's no longer available. It came out in 2010. (Theoretically, old ipads that have this game should be worth more!)
Let's get back to ColorFold. It's very similar and very good.

What's different
1. Random black squares are scattered in the grid to prevent the movement of ribbons.
2. Wormholes: this is a common element in puzzle apps, but it's the first one in a ribbon game.
3. Forced Movement: when there are blue and tan ribbons, the blue ribbon forces an opposite movement in tan. Very interesting: there are a few levels where blue can keep going, but tan gets stopped.

There are 100 levels and they're not too hard. Which is good because I like feeling smart.

Here's an idea for future puzzles: how about when a ribbon goes through a wormhole, it comes out with a different color?

Good game Martin!

Klemens Strasser recently contacted me about his new game Subwords.  Klemens made Assymetric which I reviewed and liked a lot last year.
The object in this new game is to spell out the words in various categories. One example: European Countries.
This is a good word game for just about anybody. The graphics are very nice. And the puzzles are fun. Definitely the kind of game that you can play with somebody.

Binary Games comes from BAD THUMB LTD.  How fast can you converth binary numbers to decimals and vice versa?
Interesting: there's a dictionary which translates letters and symbols to their assigned binary numbers.  At long last, I now know that '^' is the equivalent of 01011110.

Light Them Up comes from No Power-up. The object is to move the square mirrors to light up the bulbs.
There are 70 levels and I've done 26.

There's another laser puzzle app that I'm playing right now that's more interesting.  The graphics of the other game is better. The puzzles are more innovative. Which means I've stopped playing this one.
However, this game is very solid.

COLOR LINK! -brain teaser comes from Yuji Kurita. It's a 'stick 'em' puzzle. The object is to slide the squares around until everything clumps together.

However, there is a move-count limit for each level.

What's Particularly Good
On some levels, the blocks come in 2 colors, but must still be merged into one group. Tap on a block once and it changes color. This counts as a move. This is a new feature in 'Stick 'em' puzzles.

These are seriously good puzzles.

There are 45 levels, which is perfect! There is an option for users to make their own levels. At the moment, I'm on level 20.

Other Very Good Puzzles that have a sticky element (not quite the same though):

Denki Blocks I believe this was the original puzzle app that introduced this concept.

vovu comes from Ugur Kubat. The object is to tap on the big red circles to make little red circles rotate in order to free up the green circles. Where things get complicated is when there are multiple big red circles. Unquestionably, the overall design is very artistic.
It's a very calm game. Similar to Hook from 2015.
There are 70 levels and I've done 53. There are ads, but they are minimally annoying.
